Is RankUp an official Army or Department of Defense app?
No. RankUp is independent preparation software and is not endorsed by the U.S. Army or Department of Defense. It does not replace your MOI, sponsor, leadership, or current primary publications.
Who is RankUp built for?
RankUp is designed for Soldiers preparing for promotion to SGT, promotion to SSG, or a Sergeant Audie Murphy board. The product is component-neutral and keeps local requirements in the hands of your current guidance.
Does AI write the published study questions?
Not by default. Editors author and review published content. AI-assisted editorial suggestions remain drafts until a human review action, and publishing creates an immutable, cited version.
How current is the study content?
Each published factual item includes an effective date, verification date, and primary-source reference. A correction creates a new version; retired material remains in historical results but is removed from new sessions.
What does the AI mock board evaluate?
It organizes feedback around knowledge, communication, and professional-bearing rubrics. It does not make official selection decisions or guarantee a board outcome.
Can Pro members compete more than free members?
No. Free and Pro members share the same Readiness capacity, competitive question access, scoring, and rating rules. Pro adds coaching and advanced analysis.
What works offline?
Published authored study packs, explanations, bookmarks, review queues, and answer events. AI coaching, multiplayer, billing, and synchronization require connectivity.
What information should I never enter?
Do not submit classified, controlled operational, medical, legal, personnel, credential, Social Security number, or DoD ID information. Use public, unclassified material only.
Can RankUp guarantee promotion, selection, or induction?
No. Preparation quality matters, but RankUp cannot certify readiness or guarantee any official outcome.
